Visual Motor Coordination Activities for Children

Visual motor integration is essential in day-to-day life, particularly for kids.

Visual-motor activities help children to practice coordinating the hands and body with the eyes.

Children with learning and behavioral disorders often struggle with visual motor skills or poor hand-eye coordination.

You can help your child strengthen their visual motor skills even at home, with these fun activities.

  • Have your child jump on a trampoline while playing throw and catch using a soft ball.
  • If no trampoline available, try to play throw & catch using a small baseball. or using a variety of balls that are differing sizes and weights.
Doing these fun activities will not only improve your child's hand eye coordination, but so will his or her ability to discern how much pressure and effort is needed to toss and catch different objects.
