We hear so much these days about how important it is that parents instill good values in their children.
It has always been said that we parents, are our children’s first teachers.
The more aware parents are of their own values, the clearer they will be in expressing them and communicating them to their children.
There are two basic beliefs that our kids could develop that will guide them through their lives.
First, "the most powerful people in my life, are my parents and they couldn't handle me. They can't make me behave. Or if they can, it is very hard for them. Therefore, I must be really bad."
Second, "the most powerful people in my life, are my parents and they could handle me without breaking a sweat! whatever I do, they can handle me that easy... I might be pretty good." - This belief is full of hope.
So, which belief do you want your kids to live by?
