Yes, good parenting does involve plenty of talking and elaborated strategies. We talk with our kids about their day, their thoughts, their feelings and their concerns. But when it comes to discipline and training children, Fewer words are better.
When disciplining your child, talk briefly and concisely, omit needless words. Avoid repeating reminders, threats and warnings. Refrain from saying statements you can not follow-through. Over-talking leads to a wordy and inconsistent environment which is really ineffective when we discipline our kids.
